What Happens During a Chemical Peel?
You’ll begin your appointment by discussing your goals with our team. We’ll create the right treatment package for you and select the right peeling solution based on your skin. Then, your skin will be cleansed, and the solution will be applied to the skin. The chemical solution is left on for a predetermined amount of time that coordinates with your intended peel depth. Once complete, the solution is neutralized, and your skin is made ready for recovery.
Chemical Peel Maintenance
You can expect some peeling after most chemical peels and the degree of peeling will depend on how aggressive your treatment is. For deeper peels, you may have visible peeling for a week or more while light peels may have only a little redness for a few days after. It’s extremely important to keep your skin protected from sun exposure and avoid scrubbing, scratching, or picking at it. Avoid using any harsh skincare ingredients and keep your skin moisturized with a gentle, unscented moisturizer.
